Domestic Home Studies
We follow the State of Texas guidelines for each home study completed. A home study is required for all domestic adoptions including IDENTIFIED adoptions and STEP-PARENT adoptions. Please contact our agency for a detailed list of requirements for a domestic home study.
International Home Studies
We follow the State of Texas and INS guidelines for each international home study completed. We will also meet the criteria of your international agency and the country you are adopting from. Please contact our agency for a detailed list of requirements for an international home study.

HOW TO ADOPT (the basic steps)
- Investigate and learn about adoption
- Decide on a domestic vs. international adoption
- Choose an agency and begin application process
- Have home study completed - necessary for all adoptions
- INS paperwork (if applicable)
- Receive a referral for a child - Child placed in home
- Post-placement period
- File petition and finalize adoption
